Very fond memories of Joan and my Mum Doris and Marie. When Mum moved to Maidstone to live with us after the loss of Dad it was a new adventure. Eventually though she was able to move into her own flat (next to Joan) and a firm friendship began between the three. We have fond memories of us taking them out on our boat on the river Medway and hearing how the 'Three Musketeers" as we called them returned from their 'adventures'. At 80+ they were all marvelllous. Coach trips, lunches, fashion icons. A little lacking in the technological details of the decade but then they always had respective daughter/son to the rescue. A grand age for all. A determined and spirited life and hopefully an enjoyable one. Fond memories. Close friendships. Good families. Jenny, Jill (|Doris' daughters) and Terry (Jen's partner).x
